a month of softies: vintage catwalk

Here's Rosie (or "Rose for short" named for her rosy cheeks by my daughter Mia).

About 10 inches tall, she's made from a felted brown wool sweater. Her striped legs and polka dot ears are from scraps left from the quilt that my mom made Mia. Her skirt is from some vintage kitty fabric that I found at a yard sale. I knit her up a fuzzy pink cardigan, and she's off for adventures with my kids!

This was my first constructed doll (with individual legs, arms, body and head) and I learned a lot! Her proportions are not totally what I intended, and I really struggled with her face as well. However, she is already well-loved and I had fun!
